10 years of Safe Routes to School Webinar

The KiDZ Neuroscience Center’s WalkSafe and BikeSafe programs will be joining Safe Routes to School (SRTS) for a discussion of Safe Routes’ soon to be released report, Creating Healthier Generations, A Look at Ten Years of the Federal Safe Routes to School Program; a 10 year retrospective examining the accomplishments of the Federal SRTS program since its beginnings in August 2005.

The webinar will feature highlights from the upcoming report, plus additional highlights from successful SRTS programs around the country that have positively impacted student health and safety – including the KiDZ Neuroscience Center’s WalkSafe and BikeSafe programs.

Joining us in the discussion will be David Henderson, Bicycle Pedestrian Administrator of Miami-Dade’s Metropolitan Planning Organization, and Vivian G. Villaamil, Director of Transportation Planning at Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Miami-Dade’s School Board, the Miami-Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization, and Safe Routes to School have collaborated with the WalkSafe and BikeSafe programs since their inception. The programs have been a collective effort of all our partners, and we thank them for their continued support.
