Welcome to BikeSafe!

The University of Miami BikeSafe program is an injury prevention program which works directly with public schools and parks to teach bicycling safety to children from 6th through 8th grade.

BikeSafe’s primary mission is reducing the number of pediatric bicycle injuries.  The program also encourages physical activity through bicycling to school and advocates for bicycle facilities and infrastructure improvements through partnerships with local governments, traffic planners, the school district, the community, and parks.
