Welcome to WalkSafe!

The University of Miami WalkSafe program is a pediatric injury prevention program which works directly with public schools to teach pedestrian safety skills to children from kindergarten through 5th grade.

WalkSafe’s primary mission is reducing the number of pediatric pedestrian injuries through our free 3-day educational curriculum and safety resources.

The program also encourages physical activity through walking to school and advocates for facilities and infrastructure improvements to the school environment by collaborating with local governments, traffic planners, the school district and the community.
